My furnace wouldn't start. It would groan and rev and try to kick in but not quite make it. Steve H from Valley Heating came out on June 18, 2024, and immediately diagnosed the problem: the fan capacitor had quit working. Also, the readout on the thermometer had faded. Steve quickly replaced both. He was helpful and pleasant to work with. Thanks, Steve!
My furnace had symptoms/hints of an underlying problem for several months, but I put off calling for help. When it totally quit and I called, it was the hot and busy season, and I had to borrow fans and wait two weeks for an appointment. The moral of the story: I'm going to have my furnace serviced annually from now on. At least that's my intention.
